and Margaret,
Thought you’d like to see a few pix of the ‘event’. We had
so many families (all ages) that some were outside on the patios, too. Everyone
loved the bouquets and they were all sold. One family member, Carol, took it
upon herself to seek out residents with no one visiting etc; she said one of
them said no one had given her flowers and burst into happy tears. (Of course
she and I had to fight back tears, too!). This was in the Upper Terrace
area—most severely demented; many would not be able to come down for the brunch
anyway. She then had her teenage son play the piano. I was too busy to get away
to take pictures. You’ll just have to picture it in your mind! The family
member (who was just popping by to see her mom who is too ill to join in, then
planning to go out to a restaurant, but cancelled that and stayed to help
distribute) said it was the best Mothers Day she could remember. Carol will be
taking her own mom home shortly permanently, as she has only a few months to
live. Their old house had stairs, but they’ve just bought a new place on the
water in Lions Bay, and they have a small dog which her mom loves. A nice
ending, don’t you think?

Flowers and cake were beautiful and amazing!!!!! I loved them so much, and
I got so many compliments on the flowers and cake everyone thought the feathers

Hi Janine and Margaret,
Just a quick note to let you both know how wonderful the flowers were for our wedding. I was so pleased when I arrived home on Thursday and saw my bouquet and the ones for the girls. They were just perfect. The room at Grouse looked beautiful. I especially liked the cake table with the extra petals and the fireplace mantle.
Randy and I are off tomorrow morning for our honeymoon to San Fran and Napa. We have some pictures back now taken by family, and it shouldn't be too long before the proofs are ready by my photographer. I'll drop in when I'm back to show you some of the room.
